Upcoming Compliance Deadline for Small Businesses under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) The CTA requires most existing U.S. businesses and foreign businesses that have registered to do business in the U.S. to disclose the required beneficial ownership information. January 1, 2025 is the deadline for reporting Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR). Those who fail to file by this deadline — or fail to update this information if needed — could face penalties of up to $500 per day. For information and to file your BOIR, click HERE.
